Director's Biography
Jasmin Luu was born in 1994 as a Vietnamese-Chinese daughter in Hamburg, Germany. She started studying at the Hochschule für bildende Künste (HFBK) in Hamburg in 2015.
When she shot her first short film at the age of 15, she discovered her passion for moving pictures and was fascinated by the power of expressing thoughts and feelings through filmmaking. In 2018, she won a prize in the category "music video” at the Hanauer Newcomer film festival in Germany. She also won prizes in the category “experimental” and “short cut” at the 2018 IDEALE Kurzfilmfestival. In 2017, she gained a “special mention” at the Filmfest Kiel.
